My painting time has been sort of limited over the past few months because I have been so busy teaching and working in the lab. The new paintings on this post have been in progress for a while.

I tried something new with the water on the Mahoopany Creek painting. My streams, ponds, pools, and lakes are still a work in progress. I have a couple more I want to start and continue to experiment with different techniques.

The new pictures include a miniature version of the field corn painting I posted earlier. A little different view, but I had fun painting this one.

Last fall we visited The Henry Ford museum and Greenfield Village. Erin and I took a lot of pictures of windows, doors and, old hardware. These were added to an existing collection of similar images and I have started to paint through a “Windows” series. The three small window paintings are the first in this set. I have dozens of images I want to paint in several different sizes.

If I can find some additional time to paint we will update more often.
